MEET ‘GEE’
“Live and Love Fearlessly, in Equal Measure.” Lee Alexander McQueen
His words aren't just inked on my fingers. They're how I choose to navigate life.
Have you ever walked into an art gallery and felt judged the moment you stepped inside? Felt like you didn't belong there? Wanted to ask about a piece but held back, afraid of being embarrassed in case the price wasn't in your budget? Me too.
I didn't come to the art world through a fine art degree or a family full of collectors. I came through the front door, as a customer, someone who genuinely loved art and was buying pieces for her home. I loved it so much that the gallery headhunted me.
I went in to help them rebuild after a difficult few years, and I did - but I also saw something that I couldn't unsee: this world had a people problem. The wrong people were feeling welcome. The right conversations weren't being had. And for all its beauty, the art world was quietly, consistently shutting people out.
So when the time came to go it alone, I knew exactly what I was there to do.
I represent artists, not to shape their work, but to protect the space around it. I handle the logistics, the negotiations, the relationships, so they can stay immersed in what they do best: creating. I work with galleries and institutions to help them genuinely open up, not for the sake of a press release, but because when a gallery feels welcoming, art actually reaches the people it was made for. I help collectors find the right piece, from the right artist, without any of the anxiety that the art world seems to love creating.
Collectors trust me. Artists trust me. I've built my career on intuition, a lot of hustle, and the ability to see not only the potential in a piece - but more importantly, the person in front of it.
Ultimately, I'm a matchmaker. Pairing the right people with the right work.
I'm a mother of three, which means multitasking is just Tuesday. Whether I'm juggling the school run or a six-figure negotiation, I bring the same grounded energy: honest, calm, and fiercely committed.
I believe art should be for everyone, whether you're buying it, looking at it, or making it. That's not a tagline. It's the whole point.
